The various steps for obtaining a driver's license

Theoretical phase

(before the learner's permit)

1. First aid

Take first aid classes.

2. Take the written exam

a.Prepare foryour road traffic theory test. You can study on your own using the book "Bien conduire" (Driving Well) and the accompanying CD-ROM.

b.Fill outthelearner's permit applicationformand print it out.Get a stamp from your local municipality and an eye doctor, then submit the signed form with a photo and the first aid certificate to the Vehicle Licensing Agency. They will then offer you a date for your theory test.

c. Take the theory exam.

Practical phase

3. Driving lesson

4. Awareness training

Register for your awareness course.

5. Pass the practical exam

Through various driving lessons, we will cover all the topics that are important for you to successfully obtain your license.

License passed

(final stage)

6. "2-Phase" course

Once you have obtained your license, you have one year to take the one-day "2-Phase" course.
